GSA's Public Building Service (PBS) contracted TST to develop a system to ensure that the data that was entered into the System for Tracking and Administering Real Property (STAR) was accurate and up to date. STAR is a mainframe based system that tracks all of the Government owned buildings according to the leases, project improvements, rent and maintenance projects.
The National Capital Region (NCR) of the GSA wanted to design a Web based Business Resources Tracking Tool (BRTT) that would look and feel like STAR. The BRTT would track the completeness of data submitted for entry into the STAR system.
BRTT functions include automating the billing system, notifying the lessor and lessee about any changes to an existing or new lease, updating any projects or expansions to buildings, monitoring and transferring employee workloads, allowing for dynamic reports specified by the requester, providing tracking and length of time for all actions taken on a request, performing data accuracy comparisons of the BRTT and STAR, and allowing users to provide feedback to the Business Resources staff on customer satisfaction.
TST has been retained by the GSA for maintenance of the BRTT.
